About Product
Lulibet Cream 30gm, manufactured by Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd., is a prescription-strength, topical antifungal cream formulated to address the specific challenge of dermatophytic and candidal fungal skin infections, among the most prevalent and persistently recurrent dermatological conditions encountered in clinical practice. Conditions such as ringworm (tinea corporis), athlete's foot (tinea pedis), and jock itch (tinea cruris) are caused by dermatophyte fungi that invade the superficial keratinised layers of the skin, producing the characteristic symptoms of redness, scaling, itching, cracking, and burning that significantly impair daily comfort and skin integrity. What distinguishes Lulibet Cream clinically is its active ingredient Luliconazole, a next-generation imidazole antifungal with a distinctively high binding affinity for fungal cytochrome P450 enzymes, enabling it to exert potent fungicidal activity at concentrations well below those required by earlier-generation azole antifungals. This superior potency translates into meaningful clinical outcomes, including a faster onset of visible improvement and shorter treatment durations. Lulibet Cream is for external topical use only and must be used under the guidance of a qualified dermatologist or medical professional. Animeal is proud to offer Lulibet Cream 30gm as part of our commitment to providing prescription-grade, dermatologist-recommended therapeutic products to support the skin health of every member of your family.
Ingredients:
Luliconazole 1% w/w: Luliconazole is a novel, enantiomerically pure imidazole antifungal agent with a distinct chemical structure that incorporates an imidazolylthio group, conferring exceptional potency and sustained skin retention compared to earlier azole antifungals such as clotrimazole, miconazole, and ketoconazole. Luliconazole exerts its primary antifungal action by inhibiting the fungal cytochrome P450-dependent enzyme lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase (also known as CYP51 or Erg11). This enzyme is a critical component of the ergosterol biosynthesis pathway, which is the principal biochemical route by which fungi synthesise ergosterol, the structural sterol equivalent of cholesterol in mammalian cells. Ergosterol is essential for maintaining fungal cell membrane fluidity, selective permeability, and structural integrity. When lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase is inhibited by Luliconazole, the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol is blocked, resulting in the accumulation of toxic methylated sterol precursors, most notably 14-alpha-methylsterol intermediates, within the fungal cell membrane. This aberrant sterol accumulation disrupts the physical architecture and permeability of the fungal membrane, causing increased membrane porosity, leakage of intracellular contents including potassium ions, nucleotides, and amino acids, and ultimately fungal cell lysis and death. Unlike fungistatic azoles that merely inhibit fungal growth, Luliconazole achieves fungicidal concentrations against Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, and Candida spp. at clinically relevant doses, directly killing the organism rather than relying on the host immune system to clear residual fungi. Luliconazole also demonstrates a markedly prolonged skin retention profile, remaining at therapeutically active concentrations within the stratum corneum for up to 72 to 96 hours after a single application, which reduces the risk of treatment failure due to missed doses.
Features and Benefits
Targets and Eliminates Fungal Infections at the...
Targets and Eliminates Fungal Infections at the Cellular Level: Lulibet Cream actively targets the ergosterol biosynthesis pathway within fungal cells, disrupting the structural integrity of the fungal cell membrane from within. This fungicidal mechanism ensures that fungi are directly killed rather than merely inhibited, reducing the likelihood of treatment relapse and reinfection when the full prescribed course is completed as directed.
Alleviates the Full Spectrum of Fungal Infection Symptoms: Beyond killing the causative organism, Lulibet Cream provides progressive relief from the most debilitating symptoms of dermatophytic skin infection, including chronic itching, erythema (redness), skin scaling, peeling, and the painful cracking and burning sensations associated with athlete's foot. Most patients begin to notice a visible improvement in symptoms within the first two weeks of consistent daily application.
Offers Superior Potency Against Resistant Dermatophytes: Luliconazole's high binding affinity for fungal CYP51 enzymes gives Lulibet Cream exceptional minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) against the most common causative dermatophytes, including Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes, organisms that are frequently the culprits in difficult-to-treat or recurring tinea infections. This superior in vitro potency translates to reliable clinical clearance in real-world practice.
Provides Prolonged Skin Retention for Sustained Antifungal Protection: Unlike conventional topical antifungals that are rapidly cleared from the skin surface, Luliconazole demonstrates a high affinity for the keratin proteins within the stratum corneum, where it is retained at therapeutically active concentrations for significantly longer periods. This prolonged depot effect sustains antifungal activity between once-daily applications, maintaining consistent fungicidal pressure on the infection and reducing the risk of incomplete eradication.
Once-Daily Application Supports Treatment Adherence: Lulibet Cream's once-daily dosing regimen is clinically designed to maximise patient adherence, one of the most significant factors determining treatment success in topical antifungal therapy. A simple, single daily application to the affected area minimises the disruption to daily routines, reduces the risk of forgotten doses, and ensures that the full therapeutic course is completed as prescribed.
Usage and Applications

How to Use:
Lulibet Cream is for external use only and must be used as directed by a qualified dermatologist or medical professional. Before each application, ensure the affected area of skin is clean and completely dry, as moisture beneath the cream can impede efficacy and contribute to the persistence of fungal infection. Take a small, pea-sized amount of the cream on a clean fingertip and apply it as a thin, even layer over the affected area and a small margin of surrounding skin, gently massaging it in until absorbed. Replace the cap tightly after each use. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the cream. Avoid any contact of the cream with the eyes, nose, mouth, or vaginal mucosa. If accidental contact with these sensitive areas occurs, rinse immediately and thoroughly with clean water. Do not apply excessive quantities of cream and do not use it for a longer duration than prescribed, as this does not improve outcomes and may increase the risk of local side effects. Lulibet Cream is not recommended for children under 12 years of age for the treatment of athlete's foot or jock itch; however, it may be used in children above 2 years for ringworm only under direct veterinary or medical supervision. Pregnant and breastfeeding individuals must consult their physician before using this product.
Storage Advice:
Store unopened Lulibet Cream 30gm in a cool, dry place at room temperature, below 25 degrees Celsius, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat and moisture. Do not freeze. Once opened, replace the cap tightly after each application and store the tube in the same conditions described above to preserve the stability and potency of the active ingredient. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the tube and outer packaging. Keep out of the reach of children.
