TRUELOVE PET BOOTS ORANGE (XS)

About Truelove Anti-Slip Dog Boots

Hot roads in May, wet streets in the monsoon, rough gravel and slippery tiles at home can all be hard on paws. Boots protect the pads and give your dog grip where the ground is not kind.

Truelove Anti-Slip Dog Boots are slip-on dog shoes made from a waterproof, windproof and breathable soft-shell fabric, with a grippy sole and reflective details for walks after dark. This page is the orange set in size No.2 (XS).

They are designed to go on easily and stay put without zips or straps, and they come as a set of 4, one for each paw. Truelove lists them for traction on slippery floors, for keeping a bandaged or healing paw clean after surgery, and for protecting freshly groomed paws.

Most dogs walk a little strangely the first time they wear boots. With short, positive practice sessions they soon get used to them.

How to Measure Your Dog's Paw

How to Use

• Start indoors. Put one boot on, give a treat, then take it off. Build up to all four boots over a few days.
• Short first walks. Begin with five to ten minutes so your dog gets used to the feel. Many dogs lift their feet high at first, which is normal.
• Put them on. Hold the paw, open the boot, slide the paw in fully and check that it sits snugly at the top without pinching.
• After use. Take the boots off indoors and let paws breathe. Check pads and between toes for redness.
• Cleaning. Rinse off mud and let the boots air dry away from direct heat before the next use.

Safety and Precautions

• Check the fit. Too tight can rub, too loose can twist or come off. You should be able to slide a finger in at the top.
• Watch for rubbing. Check for red skin or sores after the first few walks, especially on long walks.
• Not all day. Boots are for walks and specific needs. Take them off when your dog is resting.
• Wounds. If your dog has a paw injury, ask your vet whether a boot is right while it heals.
