About Product
Intas Aventix Fluralaner 112.5mg Chewable Tablets by Intas Pharmaceuticals is a cutting-edge oral systemic ectoparasiticide formulated to address one of the most persistent and medically consequential challenges in companion animal health: infestation by fleas, ticks, and mites. Ectoparasite infestations are far more than a nuisance they are a direct driver of skin disease, secondary bacterial infections, flea allergy dermatitis, mite-induced mange, and life-threatening tick-borne protozoan diseases such as Babesia canis. Topical treatments are frequently rendered ineffective by bathing, swimming, or incomplete skin coverage, leaving many small-breed dogs chronically under-protected. Aventix delivers fluralaner systemically through a single palatable chewable tablet, circulating continuously in your canine companion's bloodstream for up to 12 weeks to kill ectoparasites at the moment of blood feeding with no topical residue, no environmental application required, and no disruption to your dog's daily routine. This variant is specifically dosed for dogs weighing between 2 kg and 4.5 kg. Animeal is proud to offer Aventix as the preferred choice of veterinarians for comprehensive, long-duration ectoparasite protection for small-breed dogs across India.
Ingredients:
Fluralaner 112.5 mg per chewable tablet:Fluralaner is a revolutionary systemic insecticide and acaricide belonging to the isoxazoline chemical class a novel generation of parasiticides distinguished by their oral bioavailability, extended plasma half-life, and remarkable selectivity for arthropod nervous systems over mammalian physiology. Following oral administration with food, fluralaner is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and distributed systemically via the bloodstream, achieving sustained plasma concentrations for approximately 12 weeks from a single dose.

12-Week Protection from a Single Tablet:
One chewable tablet of Aventix provides your canine companion with a full 12 weeks three months of continuous, systemic protection against fleas, ticks, and mites, eliminating the need for monthly re-dosing and reducing the risk of protection gaps that leave your dog vulnerable. This extended duration is made possible by fluralaner's pharmacokinetic profile, which maintains effective blood concentrations long after a single oral dose.
Kills Fleas Before They Can Breed and Infest Your Home:
Aventix targets and eliminates adult fleas feeding on your dog's blood within hours of administration, including at sub-lethal concentrations that disrupt flea reproduction, oviposition, and larval development. By breaking the flea life cycle at its source, this treatment simultaneously addresses the 5% of fleas on your dog and prevents the establishment of the 95% that would otherwise develop into eggs, larvae, and pupae within your home environment.
Broad-Spectrum Ectoparasite and Mite Control:
Beyond fleas and ticks, Aventix reinforces your small dog's skin and ear health by targeting the full spectrum of clinically significant mite infestations including Demodex-associated demodicosis, sarcoptic mange, and Otodectes ear mites that cause intense pruritus, hair loss, skin thickening, and chronic discomfort if left untreated. A single dose has been shown to result in elimination of Demodex canis mites and resolution of dermatological signs in affected dogs.
Systemic Action Unaffected by Bathing or Swimming:
Unlike topical spot-on treatments whose efficacy can be compromised by frequent bathing, swimming, or rain exposure, Aventix works entirely from within the bloodstream. Once absorbed, your dog's protection remains complete regardless of how often they are bathed or how active their outdoor life, making it the ideal choice for energetic small breeds with busy lifestyles.
Defence Against Tick-Borne Disease:
Ticks feeding on an Aventix-treated dog are killed rapidly before they can complete the prolonged feeding required to transmit Babesia canis and other tick-borne pathogens. This protective effect alleviates a major source of potentially fatal haemolytic disease in dogs across India and tropical climates, where tick exposure is year-round and Babesia canis infection carries serious risk to life.
Palatable Chewable Format for Stress-Free Administration:
Aventix is formulated as a highly palatable chewable tablet that most dogs accept as a treat directly from the hand or mixed into a small amount of food. The elimination of topical application removes the stress and mess associated with spot-on treatments, making quarterly parasite protection a simple, positive experience for both your canine companion and you.

How to Use:
Aventix 112.5mg Chewable Tablets are for oral administration to dogs weighing between 2 kg and 4.5 kg. Administer one chewable tablet by mouth as a single dose. The tablet should always be given with food or immediately after feeding to maximise absorption and bioavailability of fluralaner. Most dogs will accept the tablet directly as a palatable treat; if your dog is reluctant, the tablet may be offered embedded in a small amount of wet food or a treat. Do not split or crush the tablet for dogs in this weight range. Repeat dosing once every 12 weeks (every three months) for continuous year-round ectoparasite protection. Do not administer to puppies under 6 months of age without explicit veterinary direction. For dogs with pre-existing health conditions including liver disease, kidney disease, chronic illness, epilepsy, or active tick-fever, administration must be preceded by a veterinary consultation. Wash hands thoroughly after handling the tablet. Keep the product in its original packaging until the moment of administration.
Storage Advice:
Store unopened Aventix 112.5mg Chewable Tablets in a cool, dry place below 25°C, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Do not freeze. Once the individual tablet blister or pouch is opened, administer the tablet immediately and do not retain partial tablets for later use. Keep the product securely out of reach of children and other pets at all times to prevent accidental ingestion. Do not use after the best-before date printed on the outer carton or blister pack.
