About Product

ADVANCE Veterinary Diets Renal – Cat is a complete dietetic food for adult cats formulated to support kidney function in cases of chronic kidney disease (CKD). With restricted but high-quality protein and low phosphorus, it helps ease the kidneys’ workload while maintaining lean muscle. This clinically targeted recipe also supports urinary pH control and helps reduce the risk of calcium oxalate stone formation. Prescription required. (Available in 1.5 kg and 8 kg.)

Features and Benefits

Kidney support for CKD – Controlled phosphorus ...

Kidney support for CKD – Controlled phosphorus and limited, high-quality protein help reduce kidney workload and slow disease progression under veterinary guidance.

Muscle maintenance – Balanced amino acid profile supports musculature despite protein restriction.

Urinary pH management – Formulated to help stabilize urinary pH, supporting a healthier urinary environment.

Oxalate stone risk reduction – Nutrition designed to lower the formation risk of calcium oxalate uroliths.

Complete & balanced – Provides full daily nutrition for adult cats so you can feed it as the sole diet.

Veterinary-trusted – Part of the ADVANCE Veterinary Series, created for clinical dietary management of renal conditions.

Usage and Applications

Feeding direction: Use as the sole diet for cat...
  • Feeding direction: Use as the sole diet for cats diagnosed with CKD under your veterinarian’s prescription. Follow your vet’s specific gram-per-kg body-weight feeding guide; adjust to maintain ideal body condition.

  • Transition: Switch gradually over 7–10 days to avoid gastrointestinal upset (increase Renal diet while decreasing current food).

  • Hydration: Ensure fresh water is available at all times; encourage water intake.

  • Duration: Intended for long-term feeding; schedule regular veterinary rechecks to monitor kidney values and adjust portions.

  • Not recommended for: Kittens, pregnant or lactating queens, or cats requiring high-protein diets unless your veterinarian directs otherwise.

Note: This product requires a veterinary prescription. Always follow your vet’s advice for portion size and monitoring.
