How to Use:
BIOTRIM DS BOLUSVET TABLET must be administered strictly as prescribed by a qualified veterinarian. Administer orally directly into your dog's or cat's mouth, hidden in food, or wrapped in a small treat. Can be given with or without food, but if your pet experiences nausea or vomiting on an empty stomach, administer the next dose with a meal or treat to improve gastrointestinal tolerance.
Contraindications Do NOT administer BIOTRIM DS BOLUSVET if:
- Your pet has a known allergy or hypersensitivity to Sulfadiazine, Trimethoprim, or any sulfonamide antibiotic.
- Your pet is pregnant or lactating Trimethoprim-sulfonamide combinations can cause birth defects and are excreted in breast milk.
- Your pet has known significant liver impairment, severe kidney disease, or blood disorders (thrombocytopenia, aplastic anaemia).
- Your pet has a known history of sulfonamide-related adverse reactions including dry eye (KCS), sulfa bladder or kidney stones, or skin reactions.
- Do NOT use in Doberman Pinschers and Rottweilers unless absolutely necessary and under strict veterinary monitoring these breeds are predisposed to severe immune-mediated reactions (polyarthritis, facial oedema, skin eruptions) with sulfonamide therapy.
