Chloderma Shampoo from Race is a medicated shampoo made with chlorhexidine. Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic that kills a wide range of bacteria and yeast on the skin.
It is used for cleaning infected or itchy skin and supporting treatment of skin infections. Speak to your vet first if your dog is unwell, very young, old or on other medicines.

How to Use
- Washing. Wet the coat with lukewarm water and work the shampoo into a lather down to the skin, starting at the neck and working back.
- Contact time. Leave the lather on for the time the pack or your vet advises, often 5 to 10 minutes for medicated products, then rinse very thoroughly.
- How often. Use as often as your vet advises. Medicated washes are often used two or three times a week at first, then less often.
Safety and Precautions
- Keep it out of the eyes and ears.
- Stop your pet licking the treated area until it is dry or absorbed. A cone collar helps.
- This product is labelled for dogs. Do not use it on cats or other animals unless your vet says so.
