About Product
Veko Furaline 250mg is a standout product in our FLEA, TICK & MITE CONTROL category. Manufactured with utmost pharmaceutical precision by Veko Care Pvt. Ltd. one of India's most trusted and respected veterinary pharmaceutical companies, operating from their own WHO-GMP and Australia-GMP approved manufacturing facility in Pune Furaline is India's leading generic equivalent of the globally recognised Bravecto brand, delivering the same active ingredient (Fluralaner) at the same therapeutic dose concentration with the same proven clinical efficacy at a significantly more accessible price point for Indian pet owners. Fluralaner is a member of the isoxazoline class of antiparasitic compounds the most advanced generation of systemic ectoparasiticides currently available in veterinary medicine which acts through a completely novel mechanism of action that is entirely distinct from all older antiparasitic classes, making it effective even against populations of fleas and ticks that have developed resistance to pyrethroids, organophosphates, and other conventional ectoparasiticides. The 250mg strength is precisely calibrated for dogs weighing 4.5 to 10kg delivering the exact therapeutic Fluralaner concentration of 25–56mg/kg body weight required for complete and sustained ectoparasitic coverage throughout the full 12-week treatment interval. Each Furaline tablet is a protein-flavoured "Yum-Tab" that most dogs accept voluntarily as a treat eliminating the stress, struggle, and topical product residue that make conventional spot-on, spray, and collar-based flea and tick treatments so challenging for small breed dog owners. With Veko Furaline, you can trust that you are offering your beloved furry companion the most advanced, most convenient, and most comprehensively protective oral ectoparasiticide available in India.
Composition:
- Fluralaner 250mg (Active Ingredient Isoxazoline Class): a novel, highly potent systemic insecticide and acaricide belonging to the isoxazoline chemical class the most recently developed and most pharmacologically advanced generation of ectoparasiticides in veterinary medicine. Following oral administration, Fluralaner is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, enters the systemic circulation, and is distributed throughout the body including the skin and subcutaneous tissues where it achieves and maintains therapeutic concentrations for a full 12 weeks after a single dose. The mechanism of action is highly selective and completely novel: Fluralaner acts as a potent antagonist at GABA-gated chloride ion channels and glutamate-gated chloride channels in arthropod nerve cells. In ectoparasites (fleas, ticks, mites, lice), these chloride channels are the primary mediators of neurological inhibition blocking their function causes uncontrolled, sustained nerve cell excitation, leading to hyperexcitability, uncoordinated muscular activity, paralysis, and rapid death of the parasite. The critical safety advantage of Fluralaner's isoxazoline mechanism is the profound difference in pharmacological selectivity between arthropod and mammalian GABA receptors mammalian GABA receptors have a fundamentally different subunit composition and binding pharmacology that makes them significantly less sensitive to Fluralaner at the therapeutic concentrations achieved in a treated dog's plasma, providing a favourable safety margin in dogs when used at the recommended dose. Fluralaner's exceptionally long plasma half-life in dogs approximately 12 to 15 days combined with its sustained distribution into skin and subcutaneous fat provides the unique 12-week ectoparasiticide persistence that is Furaline's defining clinical advantage over all conventional monthly or weekly ectoparasiticides
- Protein-Flavoured Palatable Chewable Tablet Base (Yum-Tab Technology): a proprietary chewable tablet matrix incorporating high-palatability protein-based flavouring that creates a tablet virtually indistinguishable from a treat in terms of taste, aroma, and texture ensuring voluntary acceptance by the vast majority of dogs without the need for food hiding, forced administration, or behavioural conditioning. The chewable texture allows complete tablet consumption without swallowing concerns and facilitates rapid gastrointestinal absorption of the active ingredient
Features and Benefits
Kills Fleas Within 8 Hours Breaks the Infestati...
Kills Fleas Within 8 Hours Breaks the Infestation Cycle Completely: Fluralaner's rapid systemic distribution following oral absorption achieves tick-flea killing plasma concentrations within 2 hours of administration with 100% flea kill typically achieved within 8 hours of the first dose. This rapid killing action is critical for breaking the flea infestation cycle fleas must feed on the treated dog to be exposed to Fluralaner, and their death before completing a blood meal prevents the egg production that perpetuates environmental infestation. A single Furaline dose kills every flea that bites your dog for 12 continuous weeks progressively eliminating the environmental flea population with every hatching cycle
Kills Ticks Within 12 Hours Prevents Tick-Borne Disease Transmission: Fluralaner achieves tick-killing plasma concentrations within 12 hours of oral administration before most tick species complete the prolonged feeding attachment required for disease transmission. This is particularly important for preventing Babesia canis transmission by Dermacentor reticulatus, which typically requires 48 to 72 hours of attachment before sporozoite injection well within Fluralaner's 12-hour killing window. Furaline provides sustained tick protection for 12 weeks against Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus, and D. variabilis, and 8 weeks against the brown dog tick Rhipicephalus sanguineus the most prevalent tick species in Indian urban environments
12-Week Single-Dose Protection The Ultimate Convenience: the defining and most practically valuable clinical advantage of Fluralaner a single chewable tablet provides 12 continuous weeks (3 months) of complete flea and tick protection, compared to the 4-week efficacy of conventional monthly spot-on treatments. This dramatically reduces the treatment burden from 12 applications per year to just 4 eliminating missed monthly doses (the most common cause of treatment failure in conventional monthly products), simplifying the parasite control calendar, and reducing the total annual cost of ectoparasiticide treatment
Broad Ectoparasiticide Spectrum Fleas, Ticks, Mites, Lice & Scabies: Furaline's isoxazoline mechanism extends beyond fleas and ticks to provide clinically meaningful efficacy against Demodex canis mites (canine demodicosis), Sarcoptes scabiei (sarcoptic mange), Otodectes and other skin mites, and lice making it a genuinely broad-spectrum ectoparasiticide that addresses the full range of external parasitic infestations commonly encountered in Indian dogs in a single oral dose
Protects Against Tick-Borne Diseases Babesiosis, Tick Fever, Haemoprotozoa: by killing ticks before completion of the attachment and feeding duration required for pathogen transmission, Furaline provides meaningful indirect protection against the most clinically serious tick-borne diseases affecting Indian dogs including Babesia canis (Babesiosis/Tick Fever), Ehrlichia canis (Ehrlichiosis), Hepatozoon canis, and Anaplasma platys the devastating haemoprotozoal infections that cause severe anaemia, thrombocytopaenia, and life-threatening illness in unprotected dogs exposed to infected ticks
Not Affected by Bathing, Swimming or Rain: unlike topical spot-on ectoparasiticides whose efficacy is compromised by frequent bathing, swimming, and exposure to rain Furaline's systemic oral delivery mechanism distributes Fluralaner through the bloodstream and into the skin and subcutaneous tissues, where its ectoparasiticide activity is completely independent of the coat surface. This makes Furaline the ideal ectoparasiticide for dogs that are bathed frequently, swim regularly, or are exposed to monsoon rain ensuring consistent protection regardless of coat washing frequency
WHO-GMP & Australia-GMP Certified Manufacturing Pharmaceutical Grade Quality: manufactured exclusively at Veko Care's own WHO-GMP and Australia-GMP certified pharmaceutical manufacturing facility with no third-party contract manufacturing ensuring absolute batch-to-batch active ingredient concentration consistency, sterility, and pharmaceutical-grade tablet quality that generic alternatives manufactured at uncertified facilities cannot guarantee
India's Leading Generic Bravecto Equivalent Premium Quality at Accessible Price: Furaline contains the identical active ingredient (Fluralaner) at the identical therapeutic dose concentration as the global market-leader Bravecto providing the same proven 12-week clinical efficacy, same rapidity of kill, and same safety profile at a significantly more accessible price point for Indian pet owners, making best-in-class oral ectoparasiticide protection genuinely affordable for every dog owner in India
Highly Palatable Protein-Flavoured Yum-Tab Stress-Free Administration: the proprietary protein-flavoured chewable Yum-Tab format is accepted voluntarily as a treat by the vast majority of dogs completely eliminating the restraint, food hiding, and behavioural distress associated with tablet administration and the skin exposure anxiety, coat residue, and post-application restriction concerns associated with topical spot-on treatments

How to Administer:
Weigh your dog accurately before every treatment to confirm they remain within the 4.5–10kg weight range for the 250mg tablet. Administer one complete Furaline 250mg tablet orally either offered directly by hand as a treat (most dogs accept voluntarily) or placed in a small amount of food if voluntary acceptance is not achieved. Do not break, split, or divide the tablet the complete tablet must be consumed for the full therapeutic dose to be delivered. Ensure the complete tablet has been consumed before leaving your dog unsupervised. If your dog vomits within 3 hours of administration, the full dose may not have been absorbed consult your veterinarian before re-dosing.
