About Reltix Shampoo

Reltix Shampoo from Vetoquinol is a medicated shampoo made with cypermethrin. Cypermethrin is an insecticide that kills ticks, fleas and lice on contact.

It is used for ticks, fleas and lice. Speak to your vet first if your dog is unwell, very young, old or on other medicines.

How to Use

• Washing. Wet the coat with lukewarm water and work the shampoo into a lather down to the skin, starting at the neck and working back.
• Contact time. Leave the lather on for the time the pack or your vet advises, often 5 to 10 minutes for medicated products, then rinse very thoroughly.
• How often. Use as often as your vet advises. Medicated washes are often used two or three times a week at first, then less often.

Safety and Precautions

• Toxic to cats. Never use it on cats or let cats groom a treated dog until it is dry and rinsed.
• Keep it out of the eyes and mouth. Rinse thoroughly.
• Toxic to fish. Do not let rinse water run into ponds or aquariums.
