Virbac Virtraz Liquid 6 ml by Virbac Animal Health India Pvt. Ltd. is a concentrated veterinary ectoparasiticidal solution formulated to deliver rapid, reliable control and treatment of severe ectoparasitic infestations in dogs and large animals including cattle, sheep, camel, and pigs. Ectoparasitic infestation with ticks, mange mites, lice, and keds represents one of the most damaging and distressing dermatological challenges your canine companion or livestock animal can face. Left untreated, heavy tick burdens cause significant blood loss, anaemia, transmit vector-borne diseases including babesiosis and ehrlichiosis, and create secondary bacterial infections at attachment sites. Mange mites cause progressive, intensely pruritic dermatitis, alopecia, and skin thickening that severely compromises an animal's quality of life and immune resilience. Virtraz targets these parasites with decisive efficacy through its single, powerful active ingredient: Amitraz at a concentration of 12.5% w/v, a clinically proven formamidine acaricide with both contact-killing and tick-detaching activity. The concentrated 6 ml presentation is designed for dilution to a working wash that is applied topically by dipping or spraying, offering a practical and cost-effective solution for regular ectoparasite control. This product is recommended for use by or on the direction of a registered veterinary professional. Animeal is proud to offer Virbac Virtraz Liquid 6 ml as part of its trusted range of veterinary-grade parasite control solutions for your canine companion and livestock animals.
Ingredients:
Amitraz (12.5% w/v): Amitraz is a synthetic formamidine (amidine-class) acaricide and insecticide that has been the preferred choice of veterinarians for the management of resistant ectoparasitic infestations since its introduction in the 1970s. Its mechanism of action is distinctly different from that of organophosphates, synthetic pyrethroids, and other acaricide classes, making it a critical tool in rotation-based resistance management programmes.
