About Zedox Injection
Bacterial infections of the skin, ears, gut, urinary tract or chest can make a animal feel unwell, and they need the right antibiotic to clear.
Zedox Injection is an injection from Corise that contains doxycycline. Doxycycline is a tetracycline antibiotic.
Vets commonly use it for tick-borne diseases such as ehrlichiosis, kennel cough, chest infections and some skin infections. Your vet will confirm it suits your animal and set the dose and how long to give it.

|---|---|
| Doxycycline | A tetracycline antibiotic used for tick fever, chest infections and other infections. |
Features and Benefits
- Tick fever treatment. One of the main medicines vets use for ehrlichiosis, a common tick-borne disease in India.
- Injection. Works quickly and gives a reliable dose when tablets are not practical.
- Vet-guided. Your vet sets the dose and length of treatment for your animal.
How It Works
- Doxycycline. It stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply.
How to Use
- Given by a vet. Injections should be given by a vet, or by someone your vet has trained, using a sterile needle and syringe each time.
- Dose. Your vet works out the dose from your animal's weight and condition, and decides how many injections are needed.
- Storage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, unless the pack gives other storage directions. Keep out of reach of children.
Safety and Precautions
- Stop and call your vet if your pet has vomiting, diarrhoea, a rash or swelling of the face.
- Do not use it if your pet has had a reaction to this type of antibiotic before.
- Give it with food and follow with water. Tablets that stick in the food pipe can cause irritation, especially in cats.
- Do not give it with milk, antacids, calcium or iron supplements at the same time, as they reduce absorption.
- Tell your vet about any other medicines your animal takes, and if your animal is pregnant, nursing or has liver or kidney problems.
