Benpro Shampoo from Areion Vet is a medicated shampoo made with benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide flushes out hair follicles and kills bacteria on the skin.
It is used for greasy, scaly skin and bacterial skin infections and blackheads (comedones). Speak to your vet first if your dog is unwell, very young, old or on other medicines.

How It Works
- Benzoyl peroxide. It releases oxygen in the skin, which kills bacteria and opens clogged hair follicles.
How to Use
- Washing. Wet the coat with lukewarm water and work the shampoo into a lather down to the skin, starting at the neck and working back.
- Contact time. Leave the lather on for the time the pack or your vet advises, often 5 to 10 minutes for medicated products, then rinse very thoroughly.
- How often. Use as often as your vet advises. Medicated washes are often used two or three times a week at first, then less often.
- Drying. Towel dry well, especially between the toes and skin folds.
- Storage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, unless the pack gives other storage directions. Keep out of reach of children.
