How It Works
- Ciprofloxacin. It blocks DNA gyrase, an enzyme bacteria need to copy their DNA.
- Tinidazole. It damages the DNA of anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.
How to Use
- Dose. Give Cflox-TZ Bolus exactly as your vet prescribes. The dose depends on your animal's weight, age and condition.
- Giving a bolus. Use a bolus gun or place it far back on the tongue, then hold the head up until the animal swallows.
- Missed dose. Give it as soon as you remember, unless the next dose is nearly due. Never give two doses together.
- Finish the course. Keep giving it for as long as your vet says, even if your pet seems better, so the infection does not come back.
- Storage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, unless the pack gives other storage directions. Keep out of reach of children.
Safety and Precautions
- Stop and call your vet if your pet has vomiting, diarrhoea, a rash or swelling of the face.
- Do not use it if your pet has had a reaction to this type of antibiotic before.
- Follow the milk and meat withdrawal period printed on the pack before milk or meat from treated animals is used for food.
- Tell your vet about any other medicines your animal takes, and if your animal is pregnant, nursing or has liver or kidney problems.
