About Cflox-TZ Suspension

Cflox-TZ Suspension is an oral suspension from Intas that contains ciprofloxacin and tinidazole. Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Tinidazole kills protozoa and anaerobic bacteria.
Vets commonly use it for diarrhoea and gut infections caused by bacteria and protozoa in calves and cattle. Your vet will confirm it suits your animal and set the dose and how long to give it.

How It Works
- Ciprofloxacin. It blocks DNA gyrase, an enzyme bacteria need to copy their DNA.
- Tinidazole. It damages the DNA of anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.
How to Use
- Dose. Give Cflox-TZ Suspension exactly as your vet prescribes. The dose depends on your animal's weight, age and condition.
- Measuring. Shake well before each dose. Measure with a dosing syringe and give slowly into the side of the mouth.
- Missed dose. Give it as soon as you remember, unless the next dose is nearly due. Never give two doses together.
- Finish the course. Keep giving it for as long as your vet says, even if your pet seems better, so the infection does not come back.
- Storage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, unless the pack gives other storage directions. Keep out of reach of children.
Safety and Precautions
- Stop and call your vet if your pet has vomiting, diarrhoea, a rash or swelling of the face.
- Do not use it if your pet has had a reaction to this type of antibiotic before.
- Follow the milk and meat withdrawal period printed on the pack before milk or meat from treated animals is used for food.
- Tell your vet about any other medicines your animal takes, and if your animal is pregnant, nursing or has liver or kidney problems.
