Zeal Pet D.cut Choke Collar for Dogs, Large, 35mm

Effective Leash Training Aid: The choke collar's tightening-and-release action mimics the natural correction signals used in pack behaviour, communicating leash boundaries clearly to the dog without requiring excessive force from the handler making it an effective tool for dogs that pull, lunge, or resist standard flat collars.

Instant Release for Safety: Unlike static collars, the D.Cut choke collar releases tension immediately when the handler relaxes the leash, ensuring the dog's neck is never under sustained pressure critical for safe, humane use during active training sessions.

Chrome Finish for Durability & Hygiene: The bright chrome plating provides a corrosion-resistant, easy-to-clean surface that withstands daily outdoor exposure, rain, mud, and washing maintaining structural integrity and a clean, polished appearance over extended use.

Smooth Chain Action: The diamond-cut link profile minimises friction between links, allowing the chain to slide freely and respond instantaneously to leash movement essential for precise, well-timed corrections during obedience training.

Sized for Medium Breeds: The Medium size is suited for medium-breed dogs such as Beagles, Cocker Spaniels, Bulldogs, Border Collies, Whippets, and Boxers. Correct sizing ensures the collar fits snugly neither too loose to function nor too tight to release properly.

Versatile Training Use: Suitable for basic leash manners, heel training, pulling correction, and controlled walking in public spaces. Widely used by professional dog trainers, obedience handlers, and experienced pet parents as a reliable training tool.

How to Use:

Form the chain into a "P" shape before placing over the dog's head this orientation ensures the collar self-releases correctly when tension is relaxed. The leash must always be attached to the live (moving) ring, not the dead (fixed) ring, for the self-tightening mechanism to function properly.

Usage Tips:

• Use only during active, supervised training sessions never leave a choke collar on an unattended dog.
• Always pair corrections with positive reinforcement to reinforce desired behaviour.
• Do not use on puppies under 6 months, toy breeds, or brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds such as Pugs or French Bulldogs.
• Inspect chain links and rings regularly for signs of wear, stress fractures, or rust and replace immediately if damage is found.

Storage Advice:

Store the ZP D.Cut Choke Collar in a cool, dry place away from prolonged moisture exposure to preserve the chrome finish and prevent any surface oxidation. Wipe clean with a dry cloth after wet or muddy use. Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods. Store separately from other metal accessories to prevent surface scratching.
