Composition:
Each chewable tablet contains Milbemycin Oxime and Praziquantel to effectively treat and prevent common intestinal worms, supporting digestive health and overall well-being.
- Milbemycin Oxime 2.5mg: A macrocyclic lactone anthelmintic and the primary active ingredient a compound structurally related to avermectins but with a unique safety profile that makes it one of the very few dewormers safe enough for use in puppies, including collie-type breeds when used with appropriate caution. The mechanism of action of milbemycin is due to increased permeability of cell membranes for chlorine ions, which leads to overpolarization of cell membranes of nerve and muscle tissue, paralysis and death of the parasite. The maximum concentration of milbemycin oxime in the blood plasma of dogs is reached within 2 to 4 hours, the bioavailability is about 80%
- Praziquantel 25mg: An isoquinolone anthelmintic specifically effective against cestodes (tapeworms). Praziquantel is effective against tapeworms it impairs the function of the parasite's sucker and stimulates movement of the worm. These actions cause dislodgement of the parasite's attachment to the intestinal tract and allows it to be eliminated in the feces. The maximum concentration of praziquantel in the blood plasma of dogs is reached in 1 to 4 hours.
- Excipients: Microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, povidone, lactose monohydrate, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, and natural meat flavouring to produce the palatable chewable tablet format.
